Is there going to be any further development on the module rotator. The only thing that is preventing me from purchasing this module is a fade between modules. I believe it will look cleaner in my site. The other thing is a height attribute on the module, I think this might be a little more difficult and there are work arounds, but it will be a nice feature to have.
Thanks for letting me complain a little, other than that, it looks to be a great module. I already have your aggregator and it works like a charm.
Respectfully, |

Going along the same lines as above, I have been looking for a module that would rotate an rss feed. Meaning, the module would rotate 1 item at a time through the whole rss feed. I was hoping you could somehow integrate this feature with the rotator module or come up with another module to perform this function. Also, instead of rotating, can we have the option of scrolling through each module inside the rotator.
I know I am being a pain, this will be my last complaint. |

Steven,
Yes, the module will continue to evolve as I get new ideas and feedback from the users. A fade option is a great idea and will likely make it into the next release.
I think the rotating RSS feed would have to be a specialized module.
I've made a note of your other suggestions as well and will give them consideration in a future release.
Thanks for the feedback!

A rotator that can fade modules in and out is a fine thing.
Great uses would be for giving presentations, following instructions, scanning through a reporting dashboard.
It would be nice if one could set a fading time per instance of the rotator, like with flash. It would also be nice if one could set it to stop rotating after the first loopthrough or not, like with flash. It would also be nice.... if one could let it jump to a certain url after stopping the loops...
But only if if really ahve time for these....whistles.
I like the Aggregator. I have done an intranet landingpage with 22 modules, nested 3 levels deep, only navigated by the aggregator. Smooth. Cool.
More so |

Here is something that might work for the fade between slides. http://www.news-scroller.com/ |

Hi, how do I integrate jquery to the module? I want to be able to choose the transitions, like fade in/out, sliding, etc. It's ok if I have to hardcode the css for now to make it look right. |

Hi Omar, What version of Aggregator do you have? All of the versions since Aggregator 6.x have a set of skins based on jQueryUI that include fading etc.

Hi Richard, Thanks for your prompt response. Actually, is the module rotator the one I wanted to add transitions to. Any suggestions of where can I start? |

Hi Omar, Oops, I didn't read the forum title. That's what I get for working before I've woken up or had coffee. Unfortunately there isn't a good spot to integrate jQuery into Module Rotator with the current version because of the way it's coded. I'll be the first to admit that Module Rotator needs a complete overhaul because it's been neglected for while due to my work on the more popular modules. I do have fading/transitions on the list for this module and I am planning to overhaul the module over the next 3-6 months as time permits. If you have any additional requirements for this or other modules please don't hesitate to post in the enhancement suggestions forums as well.
