Hi there,

we use SQLView Pro for some business analysis.
For this, there are 4 different SQL View Pro-modules on a single page. To get this a little more nice, I added the Aggregator-module to this page and created 4 tabs, for each SQLView Pro one tab.

Unfortunatelly, the queries are working no longer.
If a query comes with a parameter, always the first item of the dropdown-list is chosen, what ever I choose. There is no way to select the parameter. When I place the SQLView Pro-module outside the Aggregator, the query works well.

What can I do, to get the query work inside the Aggregator?
Queries without Parameter are working well also inside Aggregator.

Best Regards,

Jörg

Hi Jörg,

This one is a little complicated, but it looks like it has to do with a timing issue as to when the module is loaded in the page life cycle. Because the SQLView Pro module doesn't know about which parameters it needs to render, it does so dynamically in the page init event which is a problem if it's in Aggregator. I do have a work around though which should be ok. If you go into the Module Definition (Host|Module Definitions) for SQLView Pro, edit the control with source named 'DesktopModules/DNNStuff - SQLViewPro/SQLViewPro.ascx' and click the 'Supports Partial Rendering' option. This will force Aggregator to load it earlier in the page life cycle and your parameters should work ok.

I was toying with the idea of adding an option to Aggregator that would do this as well, instead of having to set the partial rendering to on. I'll add it to my list.

Hi Richard,

perfect, the parameter works within Aggregator.
Unfortunatelly, when I enable 'Supports Partial Rendering' the link to export to excel ends in an error.
After disableing the partial rendering the export to excel works well.

Is there a way to send you a screenshot of this error?

Best,

Jörg

Hi,

is there a 'bugfix' for this in the new Aggregator module?

Best

Hi Jörg,

No, I still haven't managed to nail this down.
